Department of Education Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge
The State of Vermont secured $36,900,000 to reconfigure its early childhood infrastructure, one of only six grants awarded to states that year from 17 applications. As the Burlington Free Press noted, this was “the single largest investment in early childhood education in Vermont’s history.” As the sole consultant on the project, we assisted Vermont state agencies in structuring an effective application process, and developing their winning application.

Manufacturing Start-Up
New York fashion designer Beth Bowley wished to establish a small manufacturing operation in the United States. We assisted her to secure initial seed capital and start up a factory in Maine to produce Nuthatch, a line of contemporary women’s apparel. After 18 months, the plant has become so successful that the company now seeks to expand their facilities.
